Is the Premier Fast Pass Worth It?

Yes. If you can afford it, but not everyone can, and that’s ok. Disney is the master of creating exclusive offerings within their standard offerings to capture and entice those looking for an exclusive, VIP experience. Like everyone else, I dream of visiting the Magic Kingdom and walking from ride to ride with little to no wait, blissfully moving from one great experience to the next. Disney has long offered a similar experience to their guests—the VIP tour. For comparison’s sake, here’s the deets on Private VIP tours at WDW: Pricing: Ranging from $450 to $900 per hour, with a minimum of 7 hours and a maximum of 10 hours. Valid theme park admission is required for each theme park visited on the tour and is not included in the price of the tour. The tour can include up to 10 guests. So lets quickly math the math: $450 x 7 hrs / 10 guests = $315/guest for 1 day, not including park admission. And once more for the high end: $900 x 10hrs / 1 guest = $9000. ($900/guest for max party size)

So when Disney looks at pricing this new “fastpass to end all fastpasses” they’re not comparing it to the other fast passes. They’re actually comparing it to this VIP tour offering. So when you see prices of $189-$429 for Premier Fast Pass at the parks on spring break week, yes, there are families that will pay that, and they will have a great day.

(moves soapbox into position…clears throat) To those who see others complaining and wonder if they should just not go to Disney because they’re “catering to the rich,” please hear me. What someone else is capable of doing or buying has no real bearing on your day. You choose your day. Whether you buy the premier pass and ride all the rides, or you stand in lines with no fast passes at all (please don’t do this, let me help!!!) You are the captain of your ship, the master of your destiny. You can enjoy Disney World and find the magic in so many places! Check out my post about how to enjoy your time in lines. Schedule a free planning session with me and lets get you booked for a week that isn’t as crowded in the parks, lets make a smart touring plan of which rides when, and you will have the best time in the most magical place on earth. The magic is real and we all need a little bit more of that in our lives.

(If you’re someone who is up in the air on VIP tour versus Premier Fast Pass, I’m happy to help differentiate those 2 offerings for you. Check out my VIP page and lets connect to get your plan going!)
